Alfa Romeo's first all-electric car is coming closer to its debut. The Alfa Romeo Milano, the brand's first electric vehicle, will be presented on April 10. Prior to its premiere, the company is providing an early peek at the new EV, which is dressed in red camo.
Alfa Romeo teases first EV ahead of April debut
The Italian luxury carmaker has been producing automobiles for nearly a century. Alfa Romeo, renowned for its stylish styling, strong performance, and engineering, has yet to release its first all-electric vehicle.
Alfa has been promising to introduce its first electric vehicle for some years now. That is set to change this spring. Alfa Romeo is teasing its first electric vehicle, the Milano, ahead of its April 10 premiere.
Alfa Romeo claims the Milano will have "best-in-class driving dynamics and handling." While the business finishes testing at its Balocco facility, we get our finest look yet at the Milano EV.
Alfa's engineers, who worked on the 4C, 8C, and Guilia GTA, contributed to the creation of the brand's first electric vehicle.
The team is working on "outstanding dynamics," with special treatments for the suspension. Alfa Romeo plans to include best-in-class driving characteristics based on "direct and extremely precise steering geometry." This will increase grip for rapid cornering.
Domenico Bagnasco will validate the vehicle's driving performance. Meanwhile, Stefano Cereda will oversee the project. Before taking over the Milano EV, Cereda approved the Tonale's PHEV powertrain design.
Alfa Romeo's first EV will be built on Stellantis' e-CMP platform, which underlies the Jeep Avenger.
The Jeep Avenger is powered by a 54 kWh battery, with a WLTP range of up to 249 miles (400 kilometers). The Milano is projected to have comparable specifications. However, with a dual-motor setup, the Alfa Romeo should easily beat the Avenger's nine-second 0-60 mph speed.
The Alfa Romeo Milano will be around the same size as Volvo's new EX30, however it will most likely start at £40,000 ($50,000).
However, for people in the United States, don't get too thrilled. The Italian EV is not likely to go internationally. It will be available in Europe and other worldwide markets.
Despite the crimson camouflage, you can see the brand's signature design components, such as the triangle grille. What do you think of the first Alfa Romeo EV? Please let us know in the comments.
